today started my first day working at LOVE magazine, a new conde nast, twice-yearly publication. at the helm is katie grand, co-founder of 'dazed and confused' and former editor of 'pop' magazine. love magazine's essence is based on reality, with a ban on size 0 models. this is their point of difference standing amidst a very superficial high-fashion industry. i am interested to see how this works. they are currently working on their second edition. i am working in the office, assisting the fashion team. everyone was very welcoming, its quite a small team of highly committed and talented writers, editors and assistants. today i was picking up press samples from PR offices. tomorrow i am going on a matt irwin shoot, assisting francesca burns, for an editorial feature on lesbians.
