Today I assisted on the lesbian shoot; I suppose the purpose of the feature was a statement of lesbians remote from the typical butch-femme. Maybe its time. With the recent preference bein coool, lilo and samRo, Beth Ditto, lady gaga... and (….BIG YAWN) Katie Perry, amidst the return of the dominatrix trend. I suppose it was time for the cross-over of lesbians and high-fashion, particularly butch on butch. Highlighting cultural repression and discrimination, fashion makes it cool. If the clothes I took to the shoot were people, I have would be wheeling a suitcase of grunged up feminists. With the liberation of an agent provocateur bag… and it was a pleasure.
